Lauren specialises in the sale, purchase, construction, and refit of superyachts and commercial vessels, with additional expertise in asset finance and international litigation and arbitration across our core asset classes: superyachts and business jets. She advises a broad range of clients including UHNW individuals, family offices, banks and other financial institutions and brokerage houses.

Recent examples of Lauren’s expertise are as follows:

4. advising a UHNW client on a complex, time-sensitive back-to-back sale and purchase of a seven-vessel commercial fleet, initially as buyer and subsequently as seller, within a two-week period;
5. advising a UHNW client on the novation of a yacht construction contract with a highly reputable shipyard for a 60-metre superyacht, including assignments of refund guarantees and the simultaneous discharge of security interests granted in favour of a leading bank over both the contract and the guarantees;
6. commencing LMAA Arbitration on behalf of a buyer under a MYBA MOA as a result of the seller’s failure to tender a US$44.2 million vessel for delivery whilst simultaneously obtaining an injunction from the High Court of Justice to stop the seller from moving, selling or any way disposing of the Vessel until the Tribunal made their award; and
7. commencing a statutory application for judicial review made under section 38 of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 in the Administrative Court and then subsequently appealing the negative Judgment in the Court of Appeal. The application was to set aside certain decisions the defendant made pursuant to Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.
